Jean-Pierre van Eijck (1964) has been employed as an attorney-at-law since 1991, has been a partner at VDB Advocaten since 2013. Jean-Pierre operates a specialist consultancy and litigation practice, focusing on (civil) Construction Law and Tendering Law.

Jean-Pierre has broad-based experience in civil construction law and tendering law, not only in litigation (civil procedures, arbitration) but also in a consultancy role. He appears for both contract-awarding parties (government bodies and private parties) and contractors (architects, engineers and contracting companies).

Clients not only appreciate his specialist knowledge but also his pragmatic approach to problem solving. Jean-Pierre offers clear advice and recommendations aimed at providing solid solutions and thanks to his thorough knowledge of procedural law is also able to support clients in word and deed in arbitration cases and civil disputes.

Jean-Pierre is a member of the Association for Construction Law, the Association of Construction Law Attorneys, the Netherlands Association for Tendering Law and the International Bar Association (Construction Projects Committee). Jean-Pierre regularly fulfils lecturing positions (day chairman) among others for the Institute for Construction Law, SDU and Academy for Legal Practice. He also regularly provides in-house courses on the latest developments in construction law. In 2009, Jean-Pierre wrote the Dutch contribution to the book ‘Getting the deal through, Construction 2009’ published by Law Business Research Ltd.

The 2010 edition of Chambers & Partners Europe, wrote of Jean-Pierre, ‘He stands out as a talented construction lawyer’. Jean-Pierre is also mentioned in ‘Legal Experts 2011, Europe, Middle East & Africa’
